I’m a big believer in being able to decorate and style your home, without having to sell your right arm to do so! Affordable styling is something I’m so passionate about so I was beyond excited when Target approached me to work with them on their latest homewares ranges.  As a Target Resident Blogger, I’ll be sharing all of my favourite and affordable pieces and styling up a storm over the next couple of months. I’ll be sharing all of this goodness on the blog so you’ll be the first to know about these exciting new ranges (& of course that means you’ll also be first instore to pick up some amazing goodies).

With a love for colour I was jumping for joy when the latest range hit stores last week. Packed full of pretty pastels and sorbet shades, it made me feel like Summer is only a glimmer away (wishful thinking I know but a nice escape from the cold, dark and dismal days we’ve been hit with lately)!

For me, colour injects personality into a room and something as simple as a cushion can help lift a space. Given I change our house around more than I visit the supermarket these days, an affordable cushion is a great way to mix things up without spending a fortune to do so! If you’re looking to make some changes at home, then the latest range from Target is definitely worth a peep! Of course it doesn’t disappoint with statement on trend pieces and hugely ticking the affordability factor, giving you extra dollars to spend on yourself! Now that’s a win! From colourful wire side tables (only $39), pastel print cushions (from $15), geometric candles ($30) and colourful storage sacks ($12), making decorating super easy, affordable and fun. Pastels work really well teamed with a grey or white base and layering in different textures helps to define a space with personality.

I’ve long been a fan of colourful wireware so I couldn’t go past this mint side table. It’s the perfect piece to display your photos, candles, indoor plants and of course beautiful blooms. They would also make great bedside tables and for the price, you’d be crazy not to buy two! I’m thinking about heading back instore for the white!

Tips for decorating with colour

– Start with a white or grey base

– Layer in colour through cushions, candles and lamps

– Look for pieces that complement one another

– Create little vignettes on side tables using candles, indoor plants, flowers, magazines and books  (look for pieces that create different levels of height and add texture)

– Be adventurous with colour and embrace your own style

I’ve chosen my favourite pieces from the latest range and show you how to style them.

All of these goodies are available instore now, so I suggest you get your skates on and rush in so you don’t miss out!

Happy shopping!

I love colour and sometimes get stuck with always going for the same shades, (green, green and maybe a slightly different green)! I think Target has some great new colours that I’ll have to go check out. It’s time for a change!
