I’ve been following Danyelle from Little Brick Home Style over on Instagram and was instantly drawn to her page. From dreamy prints, inspiring interiors and well styled homewares, this was a girl after my own heart! So today I wanted to share the lovely lady behind this brand and take a peek inside her world.
With a passion for photography and design, Danyelle decided to create some prints for her own home. With friends asking to purchase her prints, little did she know this would soon turn into an exciting new business. It’s clearly evident Danyelle has an eye for style and the icing on the cake is the super affordable price tags- Quote cards start at $3 & prints from $14.95! Pop a quote card in a little frame or on a moodboard and you instantly have a piece of art for your walls for almost the same price as a coffee! Bargain!
I had a quick chat with Danyelle to find out a little more about her small biz-
What’s the Inspiration behind the name?
Little Brick Home was the name of my home styling account as we live in a little brick home on the Sunshine Coast. This is the first home we brought together and I love everything about it. We have a unique style that many would describe as moody, with dark walls, grey industrial tiles and big bold ocean prints. I wanted to create some prints that I couldn’t find in other stores that would suit our edgy style. So this is where Little Brick Home Style was born!
Tell Us About Your Business
Little Brick Home Style sells prints and quote cards. I combine moody ocean and garden prints with bold funky fonts to create a unique style. I also have many word prints, but my favourite will always be the photography ones.
Three words to describe the brand?
Moody, Unique, Fun
Describe a typical day in the life of Little Brick Home Style?
My day job is being a wife and looking after my health. I have Cystic Fibrosis, so finding a career that worked around my health has its difficulties. I have a supportive Husband so I like to take care of the home and house duties, and now my new business. When I’m not doing house work and physio I’m constantly thinking of new designs, taking the camera out for photos and sitting on the computer creating. I also spend alot of time in the garden, it’s my hobby, which you will see through my current prints with the palms and monstera designs.
What’s in-store for 2016?
2016 is just the beginning. I started up the beginning of February but I already have so many ideas and I can’t wait to jump into it. Throughout the year expect to see some new designs, and some new products featuring the designs.
