Winter has definitely hit here in Melbourne and with that brings a whole new mix of elements when decorating your home. A change of season is the perfect time to update, rearrange or style your space using a mix of heavenly textures and soft tones.
As you know, I’m a huge believer in decorating your home without having to spend a fortune and the key is to keep your eyes peeled for a good sale, shop around and definitely visit the outlets to snap up a bargain!
I popped into Uni Hill Factory Outlets over the weekend and didn’t leave empty handed. In fact I left with 3 new cushions which is definitely proof I’m addicted to cushions! But if you’re looking to update your space and don’t want to spend a fortune, then cushions are the perfect solution.
I’ve been on the hunt for a round pale pink cushion for a little while now and I was over the moon when I stumbled across this divine Laura Ashley ‘Leopold’ cushion on sale for $26! This is a perfect match with the ‘Draper’ dove grey tassel cushion which I picked up for $48 (originally $69.95)! My third cushion purchase was this charcoal ‘Odessa’ cushion from Bed Bath N’ Table for $44.95. Layering in a good mix of textures and shapes can help to add some personality to your bedroom or living space this Winter.
I’m constantly updating our shelves with affordable homewares and I just had to have these Mark Tuckey for Cotton On wooden egg cups for $10 (set of 2). They’ll definitely come in handy for the girls dinners, but until then they can sit pretty on our shelves.
I also picked up some cards for a grand total of $2 each. Cards and quotes provide an affordable way to decorate your walls -just frame them, add washi tape or pin them to a moodboard. I was lining up to pay when I came across these $2 Mark Tuckey for Cotton On candles. So obviously they had to come home with me too!
My last purchase of the day was a white vase from Kaisercraft for $19.95. You can’t go wrong with a white vase full of gorgeous flowers or beautiful leaves from the garden. My Eucalyptus gum is a perfect match with my new vase.
So as you can see, I’ve only made a few small updates at home, but created a fresh new look for Winter, whilst keeping the bank balance looking pretty. So if you’re looking to create a new space or update an existing one, head to Uni Hill Factory Outlets and snap up a bargain!
